The ‘T’ structure, with a single body for the table base and grinding wheel head, gives high rigidity and careful design has made it possible to achieve perfect balance of the machine.

Newly developed spindle consisting of a high pressure hydrodynamic bearing which guarantees a max rotation error of 0.02µm and a rigidity of 100 kg/µm.

The hydrodynamic bearing does not require contact with the shaft, therefore, it is not subject to wear.

The table and the grinding wheel head slide on ‘V’ and flat guides coated with anti-friction material to guarantee accurate positioning and linear movement with a low friction coefficient.

The advancement of the table and the grinding wheel head is directly controlled by AC servo-motors via high precision ball screws, a resolution of 0.0001 mm allows for very high sensitivity in the programming of the processes.

The workhead (max speed 600 rpm), suitable for fixed center grinding, is directly controlled by an AC servo-motor; lifetime lubrication gives high reliability and allows maintenance to be reduced to a minimum.

The particular ease of use allows the machine to reach high levels of productivity even in the absence of specialized operators.
