Hartford TGV Serie

The TGV Series stems from Hartford’s extensive experience, in the manufacture of gantry machining centers. It is a product range designed for making large molds and difficult-to-cut materials.

The complete range is made in 3 models in a variety of versions, to cover different application needs and from time to time customized according to customer requirements.

The monolithic base made of stabilized Meehanite cast iron, with lattice structure for heat dissipation and vibration damping, is equipped with No. 2 precision-grade SP widely dimensioned linear guides, have characteristics of high rigidity, low sliding friction and quiet operation.

The large dimensions of the guideways on the base ensure uniform weight distribution, absolute stillness of the workpiece, smooth movements resulting in longer machine life, superior cutting capabilities and absolute precision in machining.

The gantry/crossbar, made of Meehanite cast iron, is a structural element to which particularly advanced (patented) technological solutions have been dedicated to ensure rigidity and precision.

The crosshead carries 2 linear guides with SP precision grade, ensuring a wide support base, high stability of the spindle head and a high damping factor of vibrations generated by machining.

The spindle head is a monolithic structure, made of special cast iron, characterized by ribs and “drains.” Axis kinematics are driven by high-precision C1-class double preloaded ball screws supported by angular contact ball bearings (60°).To maintain high standards of precision, the screws are cooled by oil passage.
