HARTFORD’s current production includes a wide range of gantry machining centers with fixed table and mobile gantry. The MCW Series is a product range designed for large workpieces and difficult-to-machine materials.

The complete range is made in a variety of versions to cover different application needs and customized from time to time according to customer requirements.

The monolithic base made of stabilized Meehanite cast iron with a lattice structure that enables heat dissipation and vibration damping.

The gantry is equipped with amply dimensioned linear guides that have characteristics of high rigidity, low sliding friction and quiet operation.

The use of the W axis enables machining with the Z axis little exposed in both low and high part machining.

Also special is the monolithic structure of the spindle head, made of special cast iron, characterized by ribs and “drains “between the various elements, which includes the adoption of 4 sliding guides for the Z axis to increase the rigidity of the system.

The automatic head change, combined with the variety of available angle heads, allows most machining operations to be performed in a single set-up.
