Hartford PBM Serie

HARTFORD’s current production includes a wide range of precision boring machines.

The PBM Series stems from Hartford’s experience (2000 machines produced per year,) which boasts more than 1500 Gantry Machining Centers (80 in Italy out of an installed 1200 machines) built over the last 15 years with certification at Boeing Aircraft U.S.A. This is a product range designed for large parts and difficult-to-cut materials.

The complete range is made in different models, with 115 and 135mm sleeve and longitudinal strokes from 2.5 to 4 mt. to cover different application needs and from time to time customized according to customer requirements.

The table base, which is monolithic made of stabilized Meehanite cast iron with a lattice structure that enables heat dissipation and vibration damping, is equipped with No. 2 integral prismatic flat rails that are amply dimensioned, induction hardened and ground.

The table is amply dimensioned to support loads up to 12000 kg. and guide the “workpiece” along the entire working stroke, thus also allowing the application of special clamping fixtures.

To increase positioning accuracy, the table is supplied with a Heidenhain encoder that reads the angular position directly.
