Hartford AERO Serie

HARTFORD’s current production includes a wide range of gantry machining centers with moving table and fixed crosshead.

The AERO Series stems from Hartford’s experience with more than 1,800 Gantry Machining Centers built over the past 15 years with certification at Boeing Aircraft U.S.A.

It is a product range designed for large parts and difficult-to-machine materials.

The complete range is made in 28 models (from 2 to 8 m longitudinal travel) in a variety of versions to cover different application needs and from time to time customized according to customer requirements. T

he shoulders, made of stabilized Meehanite cast iron, with a lattice structure that allows heat dissipation and vibration damping, are equipped with 2 pairs of amply dimensioned linear guides that guide the crossbeam with fast and precise movements.

The basement, anchored to the foundation allows the loading of extremely heavy blanks without affecting cutting capacity and absolute precision in machining.

Also particular is the monolithic structure of the spindle head, made of special cast iron, characterized by ribs and “drains “between the various elements, which includes the adoption of 4 sliding guides for the Z axis to increase the rigidity of the system. Axis motors can transmit motion via ball screws or rack and pinion.

A version with linear motors is also available. Various head and spindle configurations are available to meet the needs of various application areas
