Sodick UH Series
The new UH series vertical axis machining centres represent the natural evolution of SODICK’s consolidated experience in the application of linear motor technology, acquired with the production of now more than 20000 machines with this innovative technology.
The machine structure has been completely computer-designed and optimised through finite element structural analysis to ensure maximum rigidity and stability; although the size of the machine itself is small, the dimensioning of the structures is generous.
The construction of the structure is gantry with a double column, symmetrical design.
The structural symmetry minimises the non-linear effects of thermal distortion due to the heat generated by the main axis and helps to keep the impact of thermal effects to a minimum even over long machining runs.
