Hartford Infinity HSA – EA – EAY Serie

HARTFORD’s current production includes a wide range of gantry machining centers with moving table and fixed crosshead. The INFINITY HSA Series stems from Hartford’s experience with more than 1,800 Gantry Machining Centers built over the past 15 years with certification at Boeing Aircraft U.S.A. It is a product range designed for large parts and difficult-to-machine materials.

The complete range is made in 28 models (from 2 to 8 m longitudinal travel) in a variety of versions to cover different application needs and from time to time customized according to customer requirements.

The monolithic base made of stabilized Meehanite cast iron, with a lattice structure that allows heat dissipation and vibration damping, is equipped with amply sized linear guides that have characteristics of high rigidity, low sliding friction and quiet operation.

The large dimensions of the guideways on the bed ensure uniform weight distribution, absolute stillness of the workpiece, smooth movements resulting in longer machine life, superior cutting capabilities and absolute precision in machining.

Also particular is the monolithic structure of the spindle head, made of special cast iron, characterized by ribs and “drains “between the various elements, which includes the adoption of 4 Z-axis slides to increase the rigidity of the system. Axis motors are connected to the screw via a planetary-type gearbox to increase axis thrust and accelerations.

The EA version allows automatic head changing, with a magazine that can accommodate up to 2 heads. The wide assortment of heads such as extensions, angle heads and birotattve angle heads , allow, in a fully automatic manner, simple and complex machining on all faces of the workpiece
