Hartford MVP series

HARTFORD’s MVP series vertical machining centers meet a variety of machining requirements due to the technological solutions adopted and the different configurations that can be obtained. The complete range is produced in 4 models (from 800 to 1600 mm stroke) in a variety of versions to cover different application needs.

In particular, the structural solidity of the bed and spindle line make the MVP series extremely effective both in general mechanical applications characterized by high stock removal and in applications typical of die makers, with finishing and superfinishing on various types of steel from the most tenacious to the most alloyed.

The machine’s structure is particularly rigid. The bedplate, made of stabilized Meehanite cast iron, is equipped with four amply dimensioned linear guides. The linear guides on the bedplate ensure uniform weight distribution, absolute immobility of the workpiece, smooth movements resulting in longer machine life and superior cutting capabilities.

The structural rigidity of the bedplate allows high vibration absorption capacity and absolute precision in machining. The cast iron carriage is amply sized to support and guide the workpiece table along the entire working stroke. The dimensions safely allow the application of fourth and fifth axis tables or special clamping equipment.

The column, made of Meehanite cast iron with a box-type structure, has a wide support base. It is equipped with widely dimensioned linear guides, which ensure high stability of the spindle head and a high damping factor of vibrations generated by machining. The spindle head is a monolithic structure, made of special cast iron, a generously sized motor makes it possible not to use mechanical counterweight and improve kinematic dynamism to state changes.
